What this is
GolfTrip is a tool for organizing golf trips — rosters, tee times, scoring, side games, and tracking who owes what when the trip's over. It's not a betting platform, a payment processor, or a sportsbook. It's a place to keep score and a record of the wager you ran with your friends, the same way you'd keep it on a notepad.
Public beta — free to use
We're in public beta. While we're in beta:
- The app is free. No tiers, no paywalls, no card on file.
- We'd love your feedback.If something's broken, slow, or confusing, tell us — feedback shapes what we ship next. Email hello@golftrip.fun.
- Expect some rough edges.Beta means beta. We try not to break things, but if a feature's flaky, please let us know and we'll get on it.
Future pricing
We may introduce paid plans down the road — that's how we keep the lights on. If we do:
- You'll know in advance.No surprise charges. We'll give meaningful notice (at least 30 days) before any pricing kicks in, and we'll be clear about what's changing and why.
- Your trip data stays yours. Past trips and scores stay accessible regardless of plan, and you can export or delete your data at any time.
- A free tier is the goal.The plan is to keep something useful free and charge for higher-end features (larger trips, advanced analytics, etc.). No guarantees on the exact shape — but that's the intent.
No real money is handled
The trip pot, side-game payouts, and settle-up screens are record-keeping. GolfTrip never charges, holds, transfers, or processes money. When the round's over, you settle outside the app — Venmo, cash, however your group does it.
Disputes between players over a wager (a missed putt, a contested skin, who owes whom) are between you and your friends. We're happy to help if there's a bug; we won't arbitrate the trash talk.
What you agree to
Don't do anything that would make running this app harder for everyone else:
- Don't use GolfTrip for anything illegal where you live, including illegal gambling. Friendly group wagers settled in cash among friends are usually fine; if you're unsure about the rules in your jurisdiction, that's on you to check.
- Don't try to break, scrape, or abuse the service.
- Don't harass other users or post content that doesn't belong on a golf trip.
We can suspend or close accounts that violate these terms. We'll try to be reasonable about it.
As-is and limited liability
GolfTrip is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. We do our best to keep your data safe and the app working, but we can't promise it will always be available, accurate, or bug-free. To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim related to GolfTrip is limited to what you've paid us in the last twelve months — which, during beta, is zero.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a meaningful way, we'll let you know in-app before the change takes effect. Continued use after that means you're good with the update; if you're not, you can delete your account.
